"you mean the tire spoons sitting next to my inner tubes?
most folks reading this should know the difference between hub and tire liners, and as for the man in charge of a bicycle shop... well.
the people at Dons Bike Center really ARE good.
Him
wait... that's what i did.
"oh... well we'll need to ring those up as well"
i then drove to Don's Bike Center (barely a mile away), and bought the tire liners i left home for.
Him
i then asked for tire spoons, which he picked up and carried to the register. these were set beside my inner tubes and we spoke briefly about the contents of his shop. he rang me up, took my money, handled my receipt and THEN... asked if i wanted the tire spoons.
when asking about tire liners i was told they "didn't carry them" because the gentleman helping me "didn't believe in them"... he then tried selling me something he did stock... which i didn't believe in.
These guys are the best, they didn't have what I needed, but they could order it and also told me where I could go to get used parts, or a used bike if I wanted to.

i said i didn't see myself returning, as his attention to detail felt troubling.
i'm new to the area and because i live 30 miles from town, i tend to call ahead. i phoned BikeKraft, asking for inner tubes and tire liners, describing the trouble i'd had with things penetrating my tread over the gravel road to town.
Came all the way up here twice from Stockton cali.shannon is the one who helped me with all my needs, got a sweet 2018 TREK FUEL EX 7,and a YAKIMA bike rack, very knowledgeable staff and great prices.defenetly coming back again!!
"yes... do you want those too?"
also, if you ARE from out of town and decide to visit BikeKraft ANYWAY, be sure to ask for directions, because google maps is still directing traffic to a location they havent occupied in 8 months.
Always ready to help and explains all the bike parts. Also has beer and clean bathrooms
"yes... i asked for them 5 minutes ago. you carried them to the register... they're sitting beside my inner tubes"
i was assured they had both, but upon arrival i was handed a set of inner tubes and "hub liners."
i asked about the confusion and was told it was tricky navigating changes with google. perhaps, but given the inattention visited upon every aspect of my visit... well, just be sure you call ahead.
Absolutely a great place to go and get bikes for the family. Great environment and the owner Shannon is very knowledgeable and kind definitely will be the only place I go to for any bike stuff.
