they suck
Literally one of the worst experiences with customer service that I have ever endured. I reserved a Uhaul to be picked up at 9am sharp, the girl told me it would be ready to go. I made sure to explain how vital it was for me to pick up the vehicle exactly at 9am, as I needed to load it and be in Portland (a 4 hour drive in a normal car) by 2:30pm. I googled the address the night before and their website said they opened at 9:30am. I called the morning of my appointment at 8am, someone answered, told me there would be no way to pick up the vehicle before 9:30, but they would transfer me to scheduling to see if there was another location in Grants Pass that could get me in earlier. Great, thank you. THEN I was transferred to their "scheduling department" in Maryland, and the man on the phone literally did not work for Uhaul scheduling, he was in their HR department, and had no idea why I was transferred to him. THEN I called the number I had originally called back, she apologized extensively, and said that her manager would be in earlier to help me (at this point it was about 9:05 am). So I went to the location, and the window said it opened at 9. I went inside, an agent was already sitting down mid conversation with another customer. I waited to be helped for about 15 minutes, by this time it is close to 9:30. Then it was my turn, the guy answered about 4-5 phone calls while he was "helping me", and then he made a snarky comment about how I was early to pick up the Uhaul, and I corrected him that I was in fact, about half an hour late due to a HUGE miscommunication on their part, and then he informed me that I was SCHEDULED FOR 10AM IN THEIR COMPUTER. He of course passed the blame onto someone else, and his way of compensating me for an hour of my life wasted and my missed appointment in Portland was to give me an extra 25 miles on the vehicle for free. Wow. So helpful. I will literally never do anything through this company again and I could not be more disappointed with the service. Awful experience. And I'm writing this review two days after the incident with having plenty of time to calm down.
Awesome customer service, Marci was very knowledgeable and kind. Had called in the day before and she knew exactly what we needed. She was very prompt and professional in getting is setup with the correct trailer we needed for towing, also the gentleman helping you'd get the trailer hooked up was very knowledgeable and nice to! I recommend coming here for all your rental and storage needs. Keep up the great work guys!
