Let's see... 5 min at $66 ... That's $792 per hour. Never again.
A rip off !!! My wife required extensive dental work which was unexpected. After it was done she owed Dr. Miller abut $2500. We're retired and don't have a lot of money so Dr. Miller agreed to set up interest free payments of $25 a month. This was acceptable since she could fit it in her budget. After a couple of years of making timely payments she was informed by Dr. Miller's office that he was turning over all of his accounts to a private collection company instead of having it done through his office. My wife was notified by this company that they would be charging her double digit interest on her account which would add about $17 a month to her $25 payment. She was in tears and called Dr. Miller but he refused to help her. To me the original arrangement was a legal oral contract and then he went back on his word. If he's this unscrupulous about his agreements then I would question his treatment advice since he's more concerned about $$$$ then patient welfare.
Horrible service, not thorough type of doctor that says" oh i see you have a cavity lets just grind away until feel good about it. I went to Dr Lanahan in Grants Pass and he was thorough and did a good job explaining to me what was going on. NEVER will I go back to Dr Miller. STAY away from this one.
I will never go back, do not recommend them, and am disgusted with their policies. I am in no position to carry the burden of an extra $66. I was not given an option and I find that reprehensible.
After a cleaning Dr. Miller came in and poked around for less than 5 minutes... upon leaving the room the hygienist told me that would be an extra $66. No warning, no asking if I wanted to pay $66 for a less than 5 minute poke around and a question about one tooth.
Dr Miller and his staff have been perfect thus far.
I've only had routine cleaning at Dr. Millers. I've always liked the office staff and the dental staff. I've always felt they did a great job. I referred friends who also liked his work. I even had my spouse start going there. He has liked Dr. Miller's work thus far.
How dare they make assumptions about what they think I know and what I don't. I don't call 5 minutes a yearly exam.
There would be no adjustment under any circumstances. I have never had a dentist come in a look around after a cleaning and CHARGE for that.
I called and said the above; their reply was that I know that I need an exam for oral cancer and other things.... REALLY? I don't smoke and my teeth are in excellent condition.
