The host was tactful, but came to say something about our fire even though it was smaller than everyone else's. We left for a few hours and came back to stay another night, and they closed half the park. The only spots that were open was one with services and we were closer to other campers. Which really wasn't idea since I have major social anxiety. But other than that I really love this park. Wish they didn't take out the old McDonald's gym.

Tough boat launch, but functional. Simple campground with yurts. Always clean.

Best hidden gem ever!!!! The market has the best burgers anywhere ever! Not just grants pass but all of oregon

Our hot summer stay in the well kept yurt was great! The campground is clean and relatively quiet, although not particularly isolated. The RV park next door is separated by a fence, and some of the tent sites are quite near the road. The playground is really just a swing set. There's volleyball and horseshoes for adults. The walk to the river from the campground is about 1/2 mile. The river itself is beautiful, fast flowing, with a rocky shore. No beach or shade. The park is far enough from GP to feel "away" from it all, but close enough to drive in for forgotten items, although the sweet country store next door does sell (overpriced) necessities. We aren't rushing back here for our next yurt adventure, but we would consider staying here again if we had a reason to be in the area.

We walk our dog here almost everyday and also had our daughter's wedding here last month. It's a beautiful, clean, well kept park, and the park hosts are always working to improve it. Great venue for picnics, camping, outdoor weddings, and access to nearby BLM dog walking along the Rogue River.
