We stopped here for the night and were very pleased. It was very clean and comfortable, the proprietor was very gracious even though we arrived after the office was closed. Would definitely recommend this motel. The breakfast was quite limited, but there are two good restaurants within in short walk.
Not at all as advertised. Was enchanted by the website and the nice prices online, but sorely disappointed by what we found. Unhappy and unhelpful staff. No "free breakfast." Though we reserved with plenty of time and through a group that offered us a room for $64 a night, we were charged $84, not including the tax. It is advertised as having cute "theme" rooms. It was a hotel room.
Don't book this hotel unless all you care about is having a 95 dollar bed to sleep on. If you hope for anything more, you're better off trying your luck somewhere else.
Ok if I could I wouldn't even give a star to this place. I seen the sign saying there was vacancy and pulled in to park. I walked up to the front door of the the office and a gentleman let me in. I asked him if they had rooms available and said yes. I told him that I would like one please. Then he handed me the information form paperwork for me to be filled out. The first thing he said to me was we don't except cash. I told him that s fine I have cards that I can use. I handed him my credit card and then he said that it didn't work. So I told him one sec let me call my bank. I went outside to make the call. Long story short my bank tells me that everything is fine with my card Sweet Breeze Inn never even tried to process a charge through. So I walk up to the glass window and no one was there. I had to ring the door bell around the outside of the building for him even to come back into the lobby counter area. When he came out after ringing the door bell 3 more times he finally came out and through the glass door he shook his head no and walked back inside. I ended up getting a room down the street at a different place. I called him once I got into a room. He answers, I asked him why didn't he run the card the first time and he said sorry he was sleeping...which doesn't make any damn sense. Then he said sorry the owner was there but will be in 2 hours...
I booked a room with the Sweet Breeze Inn on my way from Ashland Oregon. I arrived to the hotel with a Vacancy sign and an OPEN sign in the window around midnight. I parked the car and walked to the window to check into the room. After ringing the bell for service, a man walked out and I asked him if I could check into my room that I booked online. He said he didn't have any for tonight so I looked at it and realized that I mistakenly booked it for the next night. I asked if I could get a room tonight or maybe switch it. He told me that I could and to just cancel it. Online it was telling me I wouldn't get a refund if I cancel it rather than changing it. Meanwhile the man was on a computer looking as though he would fix it for me. As soon as I cancel it, he has me fill out paperwork for a room. When he got it, he immediately told me that I can't have a room and I wouldn't get my money back. I would have understood if I was being rude or anything, but I was polite, and dressed appropriately. I would have understood if he didn't tell me to cancel and said he couldn't do anything for me. I would have at least been able to stay in a room the next night, but they just stole my money and weren't willing to help me.
Never again.
Our stay was $83 + tax, which included 2 queen beds (July 2017). The room was VERY clean. Lots of towels and packaged soap. Also, in the morning, they have bagels and cream as well as coffee and yogurt. Totally recommend this boutique hotel for an affordable comfy night for all of us travelers.
Usually I would not have taken the time to complain about these things. I get that it's a hotel, they have to stay in business, and everyone gets ripped off. However, the straw that really broke the camel's back was this: We arrived early afternoon, and really just planned to have a nice night in watching movies, but the T.V. would not turn on with the remote, and when we finally got the T.V. on, it was stuck on a screen that we could not move it from. We called downstairs to see about getting the remote to the actual T.V., and actually offered to come downstairs to get it, but instead of saying anything helpful, I got yelled at about not pressing buttons and how it was my fault. Finally, he hung up on me and came upstairs with another nonfunctioning remote. When he couldn't fix the problem, and had mentioned several times that we should probably just check out (of course, no offer of a refund, or of moving us to a different room) I finally googled the make and problem of the T.V. and after about 10 minutes of figuring things out was able to get everything sorted out. He stayed until the end, and instead of thanking me for fixing the problem that was there BEFORE MY ARRIVAL and could not have possibly been my fault, he once again scolded me and told me not to press any buttons. ...you're welcome??
I never go back to that place again...The worst customer service I've ever delt with in Grants Pass PERIOD...
